Five Star Painting Paints a U.S. Air Force Plane in Charleston, SC Five Star Painting has wings! Painting buildings just wasn't enough for Bryan Buzon, Five Star Painting Franchisee of Charleston, SC. Buzon, who has been with Five Star Painting since March of 2009 was recently contracted to help restore a 1950’s C-121C. The Air Force transport plane nicknamed "Super Constellation" is now located at the Charleston Air Force Base Aviation Museum after ending its designation period in 1962. The historic restoration of the plane included stripping dozens of decals off the plane, documenting where they were, cleaning the plane, hand scraping loose paint, sanding rough edges, and priming any bare metal. Five Star Painting teamed up with Rock Creek Craftsman to replace all the decals on the plane. Scott Abbott, CEO of Five Star Painting is thrilled that Five Star was able to take on this hefty project, “We are excited to have Bryan Buzon complete such a historic project. He is great at what he does in this industry and understands the importance of quality service.” Five Star Painting, the second largest painting franchise in North America, has operations from California to Florida and from Canada to Mexico. Five Star Painting is seeing phenomenal expansion from current and new franchisees in order to meet the growing demand of its clients across North America.
